Sibley is a beautiful, serene lake nestled in the heart of the Big Horn Mountains. It’s the perfect place for a day trip to hike, picnic, or fish.
Getting there:
Take Hwy 14 West from the Lazy R Campground. As you wind up the mountainside, stop at the interpretive turnouts for spectacular views of the valley. Sibley Lake is approximately 26 miles from the Lazy R.
To get to the Sibley Dock Picnic Area, turn left off Hwy 14 just past the lake at the Sibley Camping Area sign and continue for about ½ mile to the Dock Picnic Area. Only non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake, making it perfect for rafts, kayaks or canoes.
RVs may need to use the parking lot below the dam and walk to the dock/picnic area.
