The Bighorn Trail Runs take place each June in the Bighorn Mountains west of Ranchester, Wyoming. Each year we are pleased to welcome race participants and support crews here at the Lazy R Campground and Cabins.

The Bighorn Trail Runs have become a favorite among trail runners and consist of four separate races of 30K (18.64 miles), 50K (31.07 miles), 50 miles, and 100 miles. The races take place at elevations of up to 10,000 feet, among fields of wildflowers and breathtaking scenery. The majority of the course is on rugged mountain trails and 4-wheel drive roads. While race start locations and times vary, all races conclude at Scott Bicentennial Park in Dayton, just five miles west of the Lazy R Campground and Cabins.

The 2023 runs will take place June 15-18. Cabins and campsites sell out quickly for the weekend of the run, so be sure to make your reservations early.
